Screening, Masking and other important COVID information

In order to protect the health of our patients and staff, please call and reschedule your appointment if you are showing any of these symptoms: Cough, Sore throat, Fever, Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, Recent onset of loss of taste or smell.

During this time of the COVID-19 outbreak, Sutton Linder & Sutton (SLS) has implemented enhanced infection prevention protocols to ensure a safe environment for our patients, staff, and providers. These precautionary measures are being implemented for the continued safe delivery of care at SLS.  While these measures may be an inconvenience, we ask for your patience. We believe this will be temporary and will improve as situations normalize.  Upon entering the clinic, the following protocols will be followed:

Screening Prior to Entering the Building

  • Enter the building through Entrance B
  • Everyone entering the clinic will be asked the following questions:
    • Have you recently had or do you currently have any of the following symptoms:
      • Cough, sore throat, fever, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, recent onset of loss of taste or smell.
    • Have you been in close contact with someone with an upper respiratory illness, including sore throat, cough or fever?
    • For those who live in Lincoln: Have you or anyone you have been in close contact with traveled outside of Lincoln within the past 14 days? If yes, where?
    • Have you or anyone you have come into close contact with been diagnosed with COVID-19 within the last 14 days?
  • If you answer yes to any of the above questions, you will likely be asked to reschedule.
  • In addition to the screening questions, your temperature will be taken.

Masking

  • SLS will be taking additional precautionary measures to limit the risk of exposure by following the CDC’s guidance and requiring all patients, as well as any potential visitors, to wear a clean face covering while at our facility. A homemade mask or scarf covering your mouth and nose would be appropriate.

 

During Your Visit

  • Masks must be properly worn throughout your appointment.
  • In order to maintain social distancing and remain within safety protocols, there may be times when a patient will be asked to wait in their vehicle in order to keep appropriate spacing within the clinic.

Staff Protocol

  • To protect our patients, all staff will be taking their temperatures at the start of their shift, all SLS team members are required to self-screen daily for COVID-19 symptoms. Should one of our team members exhibit any symptoms, they have been asked to refrain from coming to any of our facilities. Additionally, all staff members are required to wear a mask while at work.
